Can I sell tickets to someone else's event?

Who can sell tickets on Eventrise, and what to do with tickets you bought somewhere else.

No. On Eventrise you can only sell tickets to events you run, or events whose organizer has authorized you to sell their tickets. You can't list a concert, game or show put on by someone else, such as a touring artist's date at a local arena, and resell tickets to it.

Who can sell on Eventrise

You can sell tickets if you are:

  • The organizer or promoter putting on the event

  • The venue hosting it

  • A person or company the organizer has authorized in writing to sell its tickets

Why other people's events can't be listed

  • The tickets wouldn't work. Eventrise creates its own tickets for your event. A show ticketed somewhere else only scans the tickets that seller issued, so your buyers would be turned away at the door.

  • You'd be responsible for every sale. Payments go through your Stripe account, and you are the seller of record. Refunds, chargebacks and disputes from buyers who can't get in come back to you.

  • It's against our Terms. You must have the rights to any event you list, and you can't present yourself as connected to an artist, venue or organizer you don't work with. We remove listings that break these rules and may restrict the account. Read the full Terms and Conditions.

I bought tickets and can't go. What can I do?

Use the transfer or resale option from the place you bought them. If the event is on Eventrise, the organizer decides whether tickets can be transferred or resold, so check the event page or contact the organizer.

I want to make money from events

Run your own. Book a band, comedian or speaker, pick a venue, and sell tickets on Eventrise. You set the price, keep 100% of it, and the fees are passed to buyers by default. Start with Creating your first event.

Have an agreement to sell tickets for another organizer? Email support@eventrise.com with the details and we'll help you set it up.
