How do I create and revoke an API key?

Create an API key from your profile, limit it to specific organizations, and revoke it when you no longer need it.

An API key lets your own tools or a developer you work with read and update your Eventrise data. API access is included with your account.

Where do I create a key?

Keys belong to you, not to a single event. Select your profile picture in the top right, choose Switch to My Profile, open My Profile › Integrations, and select the API Keys tab. Then select Add API Key.

  • Name. Something that tells you what the key is for, like the name of the tool using it.

  • Expiration date (optional). Leave it blank for a key that never expires.

  • Restrict to organizations (optional). Leave it empty and the key works with every organization you belong to. Pick specific organizations to limit it.

Will I see the key again?

No. Eventrise shows the full key once, right after you create it. Copy it somewhere safe. If you lose it, revoke it and make a new one.

What can a key do?

A key works with your permissions, and it can change data as well as read it. Treat it like a password. Keep it out of shared documents and public code, and limit it to the organizations that need it.

How do I see which keys I have?

The API Keys list shows each key's name, the first few characters of the key, which organizations it covers, when it was last used, when it expires, and whether it's active or revoked.

How do I revoke a key?

Revoke it from that same list. A revoked key stops working right away, so anything still using it will stop too. Check where it's in use before you revoke it.

Where is the API reference?

The full reference lives at app.eventrise.com/docs. You'll need to sign in with your organizer account to open it. For an overview of everything you can connect, see What integrations are available?
