You've done the heavy lifting, your event is created and your tickets are ready to go. Now it's time to make it official and share it with the world. Let's walk through how to publish your first event on Eventrise.
Before you can publish, make sure you've completed these essentials:
Add a refund policy
Complete your organizer profile
Save your changes
As you're building out your event details, don't forget to save! Click the Save Changes button in the top bar whenever you make updates. Changes are not saved automatically, though we'll do our best to remind you if you try to leave before saving.
Preview before you publish
Want to see how your event looks to attendees? Click the Preview button in the top bar at any time. This opens your event page in a new window so you can review everything before going live.
Publish your event
When everything looks good and you've met all the requirements, simply click the Publish Event button in the top bar. That's it. Your event is now live and ready for attendees to discover.
What happens after publishing?
Once your event is published:
Your event page goes live with your custom URL
Attendees can view event details and purchase tickets
You can continue to edit and update your event anytime (just remember to save and republish changes)
You'll start receiving orders and can track them in your dashboard
Troubleshooting
Why can't I click the Publish Event button?
If the button is grayed out, it usually means one of two things:
You haven't completed all the minimum requirements listed above. Double-check that list and make sure everything is filled in.
If you've already published your event, it might mean there are no new changes to publish. Make your edits, click Save Changes, and try again.
I made changes but they're not showing up on my live event page
Make sure you clicked both Save Changes and Publish Event. Saving stores your edits, but publishing is what makes them visible to attendees.
Can I unpublish my event?
Yes! You can unpublish your event at any time from your event settings. This will hide it from public view, but you won't lose any of your setup or existing orders.
