Refunding a ticket

Learn how to efficiently process ticket refunds through both the web and mobile apps, including essential refund options and timelines.

For added convenience, there are multiple ways to refund a ticket.

When refunds are requested, please note that only the ticket costs are applied. All fees are non-refundable.

Refunding a ticket from the web app

  1. Navigate to the Orders tab in your Organizer dashboard

  2. Find or search for the order to be refunded

  3. Click to select it, or click the ellipses menu

  4. Choose Refund Ticket

  5. Complete the Refund Ticket form

Refund Amount

The total amount to be refunded to the customer. This defaults to the full ticket total (price + taxes + fees), but can be adjusted to issue a partial refund if needed.

Refund Reason

Select a reason from the dropdown menu to categorize why the refund is being issued. This helps track refund patterns and improve your event operations.

Add a Message

Optional field to include a personalized message that will automatically be sent to the customer along with their refund confirmation. Use this to maintain a positive relationship and encourage future attendance.

Customer can keep the ticket

When checked, allows the customer to retain their ticket even after the refund is processed. This is helpful in situations where you want to apply a make good or courtesy refund.

Refunding a ticket from the mobile app

  1. Open the Eventrise for Organizers app

  2. Navigate to the Orders tab

  3. Find or search for the order to be refunded

  4. Click to select it

  5. Note the “Tickets” lick the ellipses menu

  6. Choose Refund Ticket

  7. Complete the Refund Ticket form

How long do refunds take?
